RACICE 2022 RECAP
Romania were the fastest crews out of the starting block, but it was Australia that reached the 500m mark fastest with Romania, Great Britain, and the Netherlands all within a canvas. Australia continued on the lead to about the 1300m, where a move from the British put them up half a length with 500 to go. The GB sprinted to the line to win by a length over Australia and the Netherlands, well ahead of Romania in fourth over Switzerland and Ukraine.

2023 SEASON RECAP
The defending world champions from Great Britain have dominated so far this season, winning gold at the three events they've raced: World Cup II, World Cup III, and the European Championships. Per usual, their closest competition has been the Australians, who finished second at the final two World Cups. The Dutch, American, Kiwi, and French fours have also won medals this year.
USA PROSPECTS
The United States men's four is the priority sweep boat for the American men in 2023. Michael Grady and Justin Best raced in the men's pair in 2022, finishing in seventh place. Liam Corrigan was in the eight last year that finished fourth, and Nick Mead returns to the four from last year's crew that finished tenth. All four are Tokyo Olympians and three of the crew--Mead, Grady, and Corrigan--were in the USA four that won bronze at World Cup II in Varese. The crew should be in the mix to make the final with an outside shot at the podium. A top seven finish will qualify the USA in the event for the Paris Olympic Regatta.
MEDAL PICKS
The men's four will likely be a two boat race for the top of the podium between Great Britain and Australia. Then the final medal position is wide open between the Netherlands, United States, New Zealand, France, Romania, and Switzerland.
GOLD – GREAT BRITAIN
SILVER – AUSTRALIA
BRONZE - NETHERLANDS
